Winter trial FR-BE Info
The winter competition is an inter-country competition held over 2 days.
There are 20 French participants and 20 Belgian participants who take it in turns on the starting list.
On the first day, the 40 participants compete in the first round, followed by the second round on the second day.
After run 2, the final is contested by the 5 best participants from each country.
The 20 participants from each country are determined by the selection list from the pre-qualification days, in order of the qualification points obtained. Five reserves are also provided immediately to cover the unavailability of some of the 20 selected participants. Additional reserves can be added from the pre-qualification results list if necessary.
The list is published on the website with two columns of information (see list). The first information column is called registration status and can contain one of the following values:
status E is an effective registration status. On this basis, the handler can either pay the entry fee and thus confirm his participation as an effective entrant, or send an e-mail to the organisation to indicate his non-participation in the competition.
The status value R means reserve. Reservists confirm their willingness to be available as a reservist by also paying the registration fee. They can also make themselves unavailable for the reservist role by sending an email to the organisation.
The status value B stands for "Out of Participation" and is assigned to a handler-dog combination that has declined to participate or has a third dog in the selection. This particular handler-dog combination will be excluded from the competition. In accordance with the world championship rules, the handler may in this case request to replace the dog excluded from the competition with one of his other two dogs. This request must be sent to the organisers by e-mail.
The second column of information added is called "paid" and will be updated by the organisation from 19 February onwards once payment has been received from the handler.
The lines in the list whose status is "effective" and whose "paid" field is set to 1 are the participants in the competition.
Lists with effective participants are treated as start lists where a French participant is followed by a Belgian participant, and the latter by a French participant, etc.
